I’M SO GLAD YOU ARE HERE.

Despite an undergraduate degree in psychology and a master’s degree in counseling, I received only 3 hours of study in drugs and alcohol.  I’ve come to learn that this is typical in our profession.  This leaves us woefully unprepared to support the millions of people actively struggling with substance use disorders.

Further exacerbating the issue is how mental health and substance use have been siloed—separate and distinct, often leaving clients to feel that they must choose which issue to address.

Our clients need more clinicians like you; clinicians who want to broaden their scope and expand their reach.

However, I would be remiss to not acknowledge the very real challenges in working with this population.  To effectively serve your clients, you must feel supported in your journey.

These courses have been designed to support you, enhance your understanding of substance use disorders, and to help you connect more deeply with your clients.

And, if we can do that, we are doing our most important work--helping people be well.
